On Concurrent vs Consensus Reality
Is This What Jesus Meant?
Before I begin this post, a reminder: I was raised Catholic, so this is from my frame of reference, and is not meant in any way to disrespect or dishonor any other belief system. That being said, I have a little nugget for the spiritual brainiac out there to consider today. I have been playing around with this one for quite some time now, and have come to the conclusion that what was meant by the words “be in the world, but not of the world” can readily be applied to the concept of concurrent vs consensus reality.
First, some definitions, so that there is an agreement with the concepts:
Concurrent: running parallel, happening at the same time as something else (simultaneous); to occur at the same time.
Consensus: an opinion or position reached by a group as a whole or by majority will; general agreement.

It is Time to Stand
I made a promise to myself that I would write about things as they came through for me. This is one of those articles. It came about as the result of a series of conversations with a long-time student of mine who grew into a dear friend over the years.
I have been told by Spirit that the actions we take in this dimension can often have tremendous symbolic significance in the higher realms. In other words, what we do does matter, especially when it comes to anchoring the higher energies into this matrix. In order for the energies to hold and stabilize, there needs to be something for them to anchor to.
The planet is going through a tremendous shift in consciousness now. It is the time of the re-emergence of the Divine Feminine, which stepped back into the shadows millennia ago so that the male expression of Creation could learn and grow through the responsibility of leadership and direction. Little by little, out of the shadows, the feminine will again claim Her rightful place by the side of the balanced male. Eventually.
Why does any of this matter to me, to my life? If you have to make a decision between standing in the truth of your feminine intuition or just letting things unfold, I say: ”Stand.” My own personal attempts at this of late have been met with closed resistance, but it is not the outcome that is of primary importance here. It is the effort I made, the effort you would make, to act in integrity with your inner guidance, your knowing. It is by these small actions that each one of us make in the moment, that will contribute to the ultimate balancing of the energies on this planet.
What we do does matter.
It is time for us to stand. It is our responsibility to stand. It is time to put aside the ways we have adopted in order to adapt to our environment. Many of us have learned to over-control, manipulate, be competitive, jealous and vengeful, or have chosen to act from our masculine sides so we could hold onto our place. Or so we thought.
As women, our strength is in our receptivity. Our strength is in our intuition, our ability to be still and centered. We are naturally inclined to follow our instincts, and we need to nurture that skill. We can most easily embody the integrated, balanced being who operates from the place of unified consciousness. We have but to return to the foundation of our physical expression: we were born female for a reason. We are here to help with the healing of the dysfunctional archetypal energies that are ascendant on the planet now.
We do this by balancing the energies within ourselves, by choosing to express the positive aspects of the feminine archetype instead of the prevailing shadow side of the masculine. As an enlightened being once said to me: we must first heal ourselves, then we help heal each other (as women), then we can help to heal our partners, and together we can then heal the world.
I am not afraid. I was born to do this. ~ Joan of Arc

Spring Cleaning
I Welcome this Time of Year
The past couple of days here have been incredible. The sun is out, and the light lasts longer into the evening, and the birds. The full-throated singing of the birds, calling forth the life that has lain dormant within the Earth for the winter. Their music is so uplifting this time of year. It’s as if they too, are ready for the growing part of the cycle to get underway. No half-hearted chirping going on here!
I have noticed that my energy levels as well are soaring again, despite the rather full plate now. I am sleeping better, and waking refreshed. And now it is time to tackle all the clutter that seems to build up around me every winter. I know that if I don’t strike now, the moment will pass. This is the perfect time of year to clean the slate and start anew.
Spring cleaning is not limited to just our surroundings. As some of you have been experiencing since late February, spring cleaning of the emotional body started a bit early this year, and continues with persistent intensity, I might add.
And please don’t overlook the importance of cleaning up your physical body, too. There are all sorts of articles out there about the various ways this can be done. Just use your intuition to see is something is right for you. Often, all the body needs is a chance to heal itself, and if we help by cutting back, or actually eliminating, some of the things we know are not supportive of our good health, then that counts as spring cleaning in my book.
The other area that likely needs a good clean sweep would be all of your electronic databases. I believe this is an often overlooked area when we are doing this work. Take a quick run through your files, and dump the ones that need to go. It’s a hidden place where energy can get stuck just as firmly as it can if there is physical clutter.
The same behavior that piles up physical clutter can lead to a pile up of electronic clutter, and is usually centered around thoughts that we might be able to use that someday, whatever the “that” is. Free up some space for the new light to come in.
As you clear out the stuff that maybe piled up, this is also a good time to reassess just what is important to you. Only keep the things that have real meaning for you, and let go of all the rest of it. I am in the midst of leaving behind things and projects I never imagined I would be releasing. It is time to make room in our lives for the magnificent things that are ahead for all of us.
Happy cleaning!

In the Company of Angels – A New Blog is Born
After posting the first installment of In the Company of Angels, I felt that it needed to have its own space, so I created one for it. This blog, Living by Intuition and Inspiration, is devoted to sharing life lessons, insights, and stories that will contribute to your spiritual evolution.
The saga of the angels is a byproduct of my practice of living my life from the place of the One Who Follows, not the One Who is in Charge. It seems to be taking on a life of its own, this story, and as such it falls outside the bounds of the original intent of this blog. I asked for guidance, and the new blog In the Company of Angels is the answer.
It has been a very long and creative day for me: A new blog, some posts, some pages, links, edits, uploads, changes, and a very steep learning curve for someone who is over the age of, well, never you mind that.
Thank you to the ‘Angel-a’ the angels sent to watch over, to guide and to help manifest with (almost) lightning speed this wonderful new place for me to play.
I hope you are as uplifted by this new space as I was in creating it.
The path you take is made by walking it.
