From a metaphysical perspective, this is one of the most important concepts I’ve worked with over the years. One of the most common questions I get from people who come for readings is how can I raise my vibration?

Always be mindful of what you are: a resonating field of interpenetrating vibrations that when combined, make you the unique ‘you’ you are.  You emit this combination of frequencies constantly. You can modulate or moderate this signal by shifting your consciousness. It is that simple.

We all have what I call a Base Resonating Frequency or BRF ™, and this is the signal we are broadcasting to the Universe with every breath we take. If you would like to raise your BRF, you must expand your consciousness. Which brings us back to the original question: how can I raise my vibration?

Some of what I am going to share with you may seem overly simplistic, but the core principle in all of this is sympathetic resonance. Sympathetic resonance is a harmonic phenomena. Something passive responds to external vibrations to which it has a harmonic similarity. An octave will produce the strongest response in the passive body.

Well, what does that all mean?  If you meditate, and focus on the energy of love, compassion, gratitude, or joy, for example, you can, over time, begin to entrain yourself to those frequencies, and begin to resonate in sympathy with them.

Entrainment is the tendency for two oscillating bodies to lock into phase so that they vibrate in harmony with each other. The most well-known example of this is the two clocks with pendulums on the wall side by side. When the pendulums were set into motion, they eventually will swing together at the same speed.

If meditation is not your cup of tea, then choose a creative activity that will hold your focus and which brings you satisfaction. You will reap the same result.

I would encourage you to always strive to respond in the highest way to any situation you encounter. This is an opportunity for you to grow. It is simple. Lower frequencies indicate a lower state of consciousness. Higher frequencies indicate a higher state of consciousness. You can tell pretty quickly where a person is on the continuum of consciousness by how they respond to the circumstances life presents them with.

If you as an individual resonating system have the desire to raise your vibration and sustain it, find others with whom you can interact in a positive, uplifting way. If contact with the person makes you tired, irritable, angry or frustrated, it is likely the two of you are incompatible frequency-wise.

Next time, I shall explore some other things you need to remain aware of and that you can do to raise and maintain a higher vibration.
