Integration and Integrity

Can We Have One Without the Other?

We are changing as a species. We are moving from an individualized, separated experience to a unified, coordinated, blended experience. Our perspective is shifting, and we have not yet mastered the art of operating from this level of consciousness. It tends to disorient us.

Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; internal consistency. It is a steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. Soundness. Completeness, unity.

Integration is to make into a whole; to unify. To join with something else; to form, coordinate, or blend into a functioning or unified whole. To incorporate into a larger unit.

Homo sapiens, as a species, is in the process of awakening to our true relationship to ourselves and to all sentient beings. We are being called to come together in groups, to learn to function as part of a larger whole, as one point of consciousness in a collection of other similar points of awareness. There is a whole layer of knowledge and information available to us that can only be accessed as a collective. It cannot be brought forward by a single individual, at least not at this point in the development of our awareness.

It is time for us to be in integrity with ourselves and with each other. Speak the truth of your understanding in the moment you are having the experience, for you must maintain your internal alignment with the Truth as you comprehend it. At the same time, we must remain open with our thought patterns. Perhaps we do not have complete understanding of something. Perhaps the Other does have a perspective we need to at least consider. We cannot do that if our minds are not open.

Remain conscious as you interact with others, especially when you have the  chance to practice with like-minded people who can grasp the concept of staying present and aware while in conversation with someone. Pay attention to the energy, and to your energy levels in particular. Does the interaction uplift you or drain you? You are always responding to the energies put out by others, whether you are aware of it or not.

If you are left feeling drained, then something is not in harmony, in alignment, with the communication or with the communicator. When you can remove yourself from the situation, strive to regain your center, then look immediately at the exchange to determine what you may have missed.

If a person concentrates on remaining in integrity with self despite the challenge, then the potential for integration of all aspects of Self, all levels of consciousness is possible. We cannot integrate all that we are without being in integrity with ourselves and with each other. The energy has to flow in unimpeded, and  being out of internal alignment can cause blockages. These blockages restrict the inflow, and can prevent us from making progress on our spiritual path.

We must learn to work together in groups, then as nations, and eventually as a global group, we will finally be incorporated into the larger unit of the Universe itself. What a grand stage that will be to play on again.

Be faithful to that which exists within yourself. ~Andre Gide

    • Thank you for the encouragement. It keeps me writing my thoughts down, and keeps me sharing my insights. I’m only now beginning to understand they are not always only for me.
