It seems there is a lot to be transmitted these days. There is a message from St Germain (felt like he was speaking on behalf of many) that was just posted on In the Company of Angels.
Thank you for taking the time to read it.
Life happened. I apologize for the long delay between these installments. I’ve actually lived another, profound chapter of this very story since last I wrote here. And now, as they used to say in the old days, back to our story…
Let the Games Begin
The first exercise seemed innocent enough. We did a short drumming and then drew a picture of whatever came to mind when we came out of it. I worked with the person who was sitting close by. I didn’t notice who my daughter worked with. When we were back in the room at the end of the day, she did mention that she’d told a woman something and that the person had reacted in a strong way. I wasn’t paying attention because I was tired from the long journey to get to the workshop. The brief lapse in attention would turn out to be pivotal, but I didn’t understand this until after the adventure was over.
We shared in circle, and crow medicine made a first appearance. There was a flock of them. Many people had crow medicine, or were introduced to crow medicine this first day. Crow came into my life under unusual circumstances, but that is a story for another day. I ran from crow for years, until I finally surrendered to the medicine of crow, and the patient invitation I received from the Crow nation.
One of the best books on animal totems is Animal Speaks by Ted Andrews. Some of the most important things – things also relevant to this story – that he says about crow is that the crow has a certain aura of magic, of mystery about them. Black is the color of creation, of the Great Mother.
Crow has a dominant place in many mythologies. One of their primary qualities, in addition to their intelligence, is their watchfulness. When one is traveling between the worlds, what better companion can we have than crow?
As I re-read Ted’s words about crow, I come across a sentence I’ve underlined in my very dog-eared copy of the book: “Crows have long been considered magical, and my grandfather once told me how even finding a dead crow was a sign of good luck.” Well now, I forgot that little piece of information.
Wherever crow visits, there is magic. The crow is a messenger calling to us about the energy of creation and magic that is alive in our world every day. Crow started on the first day here, calling us all – if we had the eyes to see it, the ears to hear it – to the magic that can be accessed whenever humans gather in groups with a sacred purpose.
This was such a group, and I for one at least, was there for a sacred purpose, I just didn’t understand it at the time.
We made another journey that first morning, and then it was time for lunch. In the afternoon, we journeyed to find an afterlife guide for our journeys.
I was most interested that my journeys, no matter where we were to travel as a group, tended to have a distinctly Egyptian flavor to them. That was not the focus of the workshop, but it was where I kept going, and I had no control over it. By the middle of the second day, with this distinctly Egyptian theme continuing, I began to have the sense that something was going on. These ‘off the reservation’ trips I kept taking seemed to have a purpose. It was almost as if it were being orchestrated from another level, by a higher consciousness if you will.
I surrendered to the process, but was distracted by the drama that seemed to unfold at the human level of things. While I was moving through the experience, I was often confused and distressed by what transpired. Every day, every night, I asked for guidance, for clarity, for I know that if we are to understand something, then the Universe will bring us that gift.
If I had one traveler’s tip for you fellow seekers of Truth, it would be this: Just live through the experience to the best of your ability. Remain aware. Take advantage of every moment, noting as much as you can about the circumstances, for you know not what will be important to your understanding later.
And don’t forget to rewind the experience a few times. You will often find you glean more insight in the process.
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it. ~Mother Teresa

I had a push to write today, and this is what bubbled up.
I will start by reminding the reader that this is a touchy area, our spirituality, and that there is only one person who can look out for your well-being: you. If you find yourself in a situation where you are abused or taken advantage of by a healer, psychic, or teacher there is no recourse in most cases. And because you are usually more open in this area of your life, you might also be more vulnerable to such manipulation or unethical behavior by a ‘spiritual authority’ figure.
It’s easy to spot – and stay away from – the psychic that tells you you are cursed and that if you pay them a couple of thousand dollars, they will remove it for you. But what about the less obvious situations? What about the experiences that leave you in turmoil or upset, maybe even frightened or confused?
Remember that this ‘world’ is not filled with people who only have a desire to serve the highest good, or who seek only to uplift and empower others with their work. This field seems to attract many people who have certain (often unrecognized) dysfunctional patterns which actually interfere with their ability to treat clients and colleagues with respect and as equals, or who are perhaps on a power trip. Though they may form only a small percentage of the whole, the damage even a single encounter with such an individual can cause is often long-lasting and devastating.
The most extreme example that comes to mind is the case of self-help guru James Arthur Ray (The Secret) who served 20 months of a two-year sentence for the negligent homicide of three participants at one of his events in Sedona, AZ in 2009. Fifty-six people spent $10,000.- each to attend a five-day ‘retreat’ where some were willing to shave their heads, to endure extreme conditions in the desert, and who followed Ray into a “sweat lodge” (put in quotes because this was definitely not a traditional Native American sweat lodge) where at least 20 of them suffered severe effects that required hospitalization and three of them died. And Ray? Well, he walked out of the sweat lodge where people were suffering and dying and went to his room and took a shower.
After serving 20 months in prison, he is now free, but the families will suffer the loss of their loved ones for the rest of their lives.
What can you do to avoid a bad experience yourself?
Do NOT go “all in” without knowing someone unless your gut clearly tells you so. ALWAYS take the time to do your due diligence. Ask questions. Get referrals from others who have worked with that person. Do not just take at face value their pronouncements about their abilities or training. Get a feel for how the person presents themselves in their work. Pay attention to any physical response you may have to the person, their promotional materials, or their website if they have one.
Your guides and higher guidance will keep you on the right track. You just need to give them room to work with you. When you are reviewing a person’s presentation, if they have ‘issues’, it will broadcast in their materials, their book, website, and in their persona. You have to pay attention to the signals coming at you.
You may not understand it on a conscious level, but your intuition will let you know. You might find yourself feeling that something is a little ‘off’ or that you have a feeling of discomfort or unease. Watch for this. You do not need to have an explanation for your feeling, you only need to pay attention and follow your instincts. Your intuition is alerting you, but your conscious mind has not pinpointed what is ‘wrong’ yet. Trust yourself. You are better off taking a pass, and maybe just watching or waiting or making another choice for yourself that you feel more comfortable with than you would be jumping in with both feet.
When you hear: “My techniques are better than the other guy’s. I have access to information/guidance that nobody else does. I have special training only available to a select few.” No one person has all the answers and no one modality is a one-stop-shop. No person (except perhaps Jesus or the Buddha) can be all things to all people. Everyone has a connection to Source (including you) and anyone can bring through a ‘new method’. The important thing to remember is to discern whether this method, this person, is the right one for you now.
When a person seeks to invalidate your experience or perceptions, telling you the way you see things is not correct. If this happens often with the same person, this is an indication of emotional abuse, and can be used to keep you off-center and dependent on their ‘work’. A spiritual mentor of any sort should be offering support and encouragement, not making you feel insecure or uncertain about your inner guidance.
Look for the use of the words ‘never’ or ‘always’ or ‘should’ or ‘shouldn’t’. Any reading or reader or teacher/healer who tells you that there is some sort of deadline or definite time frame for something is not coming from a helpful place. It is often more about their (again often unconscious) control issues. Spirit/God/Source never abandons us, is eternally patient and will not deliver ultimatums.
Does this person allow you to put them on a pedestal? As long as we inhabit a human body, we are not perfected beings for this is the realm of lesson-learning. A person who claims to be perfected or enlightened, especially when this comes with an appearance of being blissed-out (which usually means they are checked out from life) and can indicate a need for adoration or admiration which can interfere with the person’s work, and distort their ability to be clear conduits for Spirit.
We all have faults, experience upset, have weaknesses and shortcomings. Some people are just better at presenting a good front than others. Do not let apparent perfection fool you. Before you submit your energy field to the influence of another, no matter who they are, make certain they have the level of integrity and intention that you are looking for.
Sometimes you can tell what something is by what it isn’t. ~Kenneth Copeland

I come here now only to write about the significant lessons I am learning in the hope of bringing understanding to those who read this blog (while it still exists) and with the prayer that – through the sharing of my experience – others may move through similar energies more quickly because there’s now a recognition of a familiar pattern.
One of the most difficult lessons I am learning is the lesson of detachment. As I move through this pattern myself, I find myself asking why I seem to be presented with the same situation (wearing a different suit of ‘clothes’) only this time the energy was turned up another notch. Guess this is one lesson it’s more than time for me to learn. We live in a time where all that is not like Light will be revealed so that it can be healed if we choose.
I had the erroneous perception that 2013 was the most difficult year of clearing and learning I’d have to face. Surprise! That was just the prelude to the serious work. (If anyone else is having this experience, at least now you know you are not alone. How many of us heaved a great sigh of relief when 2013 ended, thinking the hard part was over.)
In the words of Mark Cuban: BOOM! Goes the dynamite! If you are an earnest seeker, intent on clearing all that is not in service to your Light’s expression, I would not be surprised to hear that you have had an explosion of some sort in some area of your life since the beginning of this year. I would also not be surprised to hear that this upheaval makes anything you experienced in 2013 look like a walk in the park.
I made a difficult decision recently. I felt a lot of nervousness, fear, and even reluctance come up as I considered what was for the highest and best, the greatest good of all concerned. I spent a few days working with the energy and all the ‘issues’ it brought up for me.
I discovered the core of this situation was all about the people-pleaser in me, the part of me that strives to make sure nobody is upset even when sometimes that effort is in direct contradiction to what I am sensing or feeling is the higher guidance from Spirit. I guess I have been living this conflict long enough. The extreme hyperbole of the situation was impossible to ignore. There was no chance I could rationalize this one away.
My choice to follow the guidance I received despite the concern over what might get stirred up in the community I only recently joined was a huge step forward for me. The energy rippled out in perfect way, of that I am certain. I am also fairly certain, based upon the varied responses, that it stirred up “stuff” for others as well. I hope they can see the tremendous gift, the grand opportunity this is for them, and that they take full advantage of it.
What is the take-away for you, the reader? Just know that when you come up against situations that really activate your reactive nature, recognize it as an opportunity to change that pattern. Choose not to repeat yourself yet again. Take a look at what is going on in your physical, emotional, and mental bodies and know that all of that is affecting your Spirit.
What are you feeling, physically? (Nauseous? Clenching? Are you shaking with ‘anger’? Trembling with ‘fear’? Do you feel numb or stunned?) Walk into the sensations you are feeling in your body and begin to ask yourself ‘Why?’.
What are you feeling, emotionally? Are you ‘sad’? Afraid? Angry? Offended? Dismayed? Numb? Disdainful? Call the energy of the emotion up and give it voice. Ask it what it has to tell you about yourself. Listen. Then ask how you can change that. Use your imagination if you have to. And believe what comes to you.
What are you thinking about? Are your thoughts focused on you and your response? Or are they centered on the ‘source’ of your discomfort, on the person or situation that ’caused’ you to have this reaction? This will show you a lot about what you can do to change your response.
For in Truth, NOTHING is about the other person. It is ALL about YOU. So be brave. Step up and own it. If you don’t like what you are experiencing, take steps to change it.
Once, long ago, I was shown a lesson by my unseen Teachers the core of which was to show me that energy is just energy. What gives the energy character, texture, and effect, is our response to that energy. So. You don’t ‘like’ what you are feeling? Change it. I know this is easy to say and difficult to do, but the effort is worth it.
The truth is messy. It’s raw and uncomfortable. You can’t blame people for preferring lies. ~Holly Black

I’ve been hearing it a lot again lately: something is going to happen, and I need to head for the hills, or stock up on extras, or brace myself for the end that is near. Seems that this round of distress is precipitated by the upcoming Uranus square Pluto early November. This square will be the fourth in a series of seven for this sub-cycle of a larger series of Uranus square Pluto configurations that spans a couple of hundred years before it is complete. Or maybe it’s the Comet ISON.
Remember Y2K? How about December 21, 2012? The history of predictions for the end of the world is long and complex. Here are some other examples:
365 CE: Hilary of Poitiers announced that the end of the world would happen that year.
848: Thiota declared that the world would end this year.
January 1, 1000: Pope Sylvester II and various other Christian clerics predicted the end of the world on this date. Riots occurred in Europe, and many Pilgrims headed east to Jerusalem.
1186: John of Toledo predicted the end of the world based on the alignment of many planets.
1284: Pope Innocent II predicted that the world would end 666 years after the rise of Islam.
1346-1351: Various Europeans interpreted the black plague that was spreading across Europe as the sign of the end of times.
1504: Sandro Botticelli believed he was living during the Tribulation, and that the Millennium would begin 3 1/2 years from the year 1500.
October 19, 1533: Mathematician Michael Stifel calculated that the judgment day would begin at 8:00 AM on this date.
February 1, 1624: The same London astrologers who predicted the London deluge of February 1, 1524 recalculated the date after their first prophecy failed.
1656: Christopher Columbus claimed in his book of prophecies written in 1501 that the world would end in 1656.
1666: Some Christians feared the end of the world because of the presence of 666 in the date, the death of 100,000 Londoners from the bubonic plague, and the great fire of London.
1697: Cotton Mather, a Puritan minister, predicted the world would end this year. After the prediction failed, he revised the date of the End two more times.
1757: Emanuel Swedenborg claimed that the Last Judgment occurred in the spiritual world this year.
1805: The Presbyterian minister Christopher Love predicted the destruction of the world by earthquake in 1805, followed by an age of everlasting peace when God will be known by all.
1880: Wovoka, the founder of the Ghost Dance movement predicted in 1889 that the Millennium would occur in 1890.
1910: Camille Flammarion predicted that the 1910 appearance of Halley’s Comet ‘would impregnate the atmosphere and possibly snuff out all life on the planet’ but not the planet itself. The comet was said to indicate the Second Coming to many.
December 21, 1954: Dorothy Martin, leader of a UFO cult called the Brotherhood of the Sven Rays, claimed the world was to be destroyed by terrible flooding on this date. The fallout of the group after the prediction failed was the premise of the book When Prophecy Fails, published in 1956.
Feb 4, 1962: Jeane Dixon predicted that a planetary alignment on this day would bring destruction to the world. Mass prayer meetings were reported in India.
1967: Jim Jones, the founder of the People’s Temple stated he had visions that a nuclear holocaust was to take place in 1967.
Jun 21, 1982: Benjamin Creme took out an ad in the Los Angeles Times stating the Second Coming would occur in June 1982 with the Maitreya announcing it on worldwide television.
April 23, 1990: Elizabeth Claire Prophet predicted a nuclear war would start on this day, with the world ending 12 years later. Her followers built shelters and stockpiled them with supplies and weapons.
May 2, 1993: Neal Chase, a B’hai sect leader, predicted that New York would be destroyed by a nuclear bomb on March 23, 1994 and that the Battle of Armageddon would take place 40 days later.
December 17, 1996: Sheldon Nidle, a California psychic, predicted that the world would end on this date, and that 16 million space ships and a host of angels would arrive.
Jan 1, 2000: Christian authors Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins stated the Y2K bug would trigger global economic chaos, which the Antichrist would use to rise to power.
May 5, 2000: Nuwaubian Nation: This movement claimed that the planetary alignment would cause a “star holocaust”, pulling the planets towards the sun this day.
Other famous predictors of the end in 2000 include: Peter Olivi, Isaac Newton, Edgar Cayce, Ed Dobson, Lester Sumrall, and 18th Century preacher Jonathan Edwards.
2010: The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn predicted the world would end this year.
Aug-Oct 2011: Various sources predicted that the Comet Elenin traveling almost directly between the Earth and the Sun would cause disturbances to the Earth’s crust and bring massive earthquakes and tidal waves. Some predicted the comet would collide with Earth on October 16th.
June 30, 2012: Jose Luis de Jesus predicted that the world’s governments and economies would fail on this day.
Dec 21, 2012: The Mayan apocalypse, the end of the age at the start of the 13th Baktun.
2021: F. Kenton Beshore places the Second Coming of Jesus between 2018 and 2018 and the Rapture by 2021 at the latest.
2060: Sir Isaac Newton’s Biblical research led him to conclude the world would end this year.
2240: According to the Talmud, the Messiah should come within 6000 years from the creation of Adam, and the world could potentially be destroyed 1000 years later.
2280: According to Rashad Khalifa’s research on the Quran Code, the world will end in this year.
What was the purpose of this exercise? What are we supposed to do with this recent resurgence of apocalyptic fever? Will the Comet ISON be the end of us? What if it is? Is there, truly, anything we can do to ensure, absolutely, our survival? I am posing a series of hypothetical questions for you to ponder as you make your way through the day.
At the bottom of all the upheaval lies this Truth: all any one of us has to rely on is our own individual connection to our Higher Knowing. No other person can tell you what to do, can tell you what is coming. Only your Creator is the Keeper of the day, the hour, of your transition. Our purpose is to be, each and every moment, the best person we can be despite the circumstances – or perhaps because of them.
Ask in every moment to be shown what is it you need to do next, then set about doing it. We can learn our lessons with ease and grace, or we can learn them the hard way. I’ve experienced both, and I prefer the ease and grace version.
What is beyond your individual ability to prevent or change, give it over to a power greater than yours. Surrender to the guidance, the well of wisdom that flows from deep within your consciousness. Listen for the whispers of Truth that will keep you moving in the right direction, that will lead you to the fulfillment of your individual purpose for being on this planet at this time.
Don’t forget to breathe.
This was a longer ‘cup’ than anticipated, but now that the cup is empty, I leave you to go have a glorious day. I know I will!

I went away, and didn’t even bother to tell you I was leaving. Sorry. Sometimes life takes us on a surprising detour – or perhaps it’s a change in path, I don’t know yet. (Truth is, at the time, I didn’t know I would be absent from here for so long.)
I promised myself I would not write here based on a certain schedule, but only when I am inspired or have something worth saying. Today I am inspired. I want to talk about the power of a small choice, and the potential it has to create big changes in one’s life. Since I am in the midst of the experience, I cannot yet see what ‘the ending’ to the story is, I can only share where I am in this moment of the process.
What can I tell you that will bring some insight to you as you walk on your path? What is unfolding for me now is, I suspect, the result of my continuing to hold in my heart the desire to find a way to be of service to a larger number of people. It’s not like I haven’t tried some other paths, modalities or strategies to ‘market’ myself – which I abhor, by the way, which is probably why it doesn’t work for me – but somehow, I’ve always felt I was trying to force myself into a spiritual shoe that didn’t fit…
And there, in those words, I find another powerful insight for myself about my own spiritual path thanks to the thing that took me away from this blog for so long. No, I am not ready to speak about it yet. It is not fully formed or integrated enough for me to want to do that. I have learned some pretty tough lessons from speaking too early about something. Don’t want to repeat that one any more.
What is important for this morning’s cup is that what is unfolding with lightning speed is a pathway I, at my human level and even with all my attention focused on doing whatever I was guided to do next, did not even see coming. I say to you, hold tight to whatever your dream, your vision for your life is, your heart’s desire is. Keep listening, and follow to the best of your ability the calling of your heart even if it appears that you are just stumbling along getting nowhere.
Trust me when I say this to you: one small choice, if it is in response to that heartfelt prompting, can totally change things for you in an instant. As I have said here many times, the Universe will rearrange itself to fit your picture of reality. Change your picture, change your reality, sometimes in a pretty dramatic way.
Now go make your very next, best choice. And may your day be glorious.
